Question 1:

What is Global Recycle?

Answer:

Global Recycle is an international online trading exchange for producers, consumers and traders of scrap, recycled and secondary materials. It was formed in late 2000 in the United Kingdom and has attracted leading industry players from over 90 countries on every continent around the world. The trading exchange allows Customers to trade materials from 18 categories and 205 sub-categories including Plastics, Non-Ferrous Metals, Ferrous Metals, Electronics and many more.

What will the Globalrecycle Marketplace do for my business?

Answer:

Global Recycle is focussed on providing an exchange that allows Customers to locate compatible buyers and sellers and engage in direct negotiations as quickly as possible. We are committed to providing our customers with an environment which is safe & secure to trade in. Customers can conclude deals safely on-line via Escrow.com or Off-line if they prefer. We provide our negotiating Customers with the flexibility of either using our online negotiation system or contacting other Customers directly by email, phone, fax or conventional mail. The direct benefits are:

  • Greater exposure to the global recycling marketplace

  • Access to more buyers & sellers close to home and around the world

  • Instant notification of material for sale

  • Instant notification of buyers looking for material

  • Global price visibility

  • Global supply & demand visibility

  • Personalized recording of contacts and negotiations


Question 3:

How does the Globalrecycle Marketplace Work?

Answer:

The Trading Exchange provides a platform for Customers to post Buy and Sell Adverts for recycled materials. Customers are notified of Adverts posted on the Trading Exchange and are able to open negotiations with posting Customers. Customers are able to immediately get in direct contact with posting Customers as well as being able to use the online negotiation system, if they so choose. The Trading Exchange records all activity between Customers using the system and provides a central place for Customers to keep track of their Adverts, negotiations and business contacts.

Question 4:

What are the Fees for our Services?

Answer:

Service Fees:
When you register to become a Customer, you have the option of paying on a monthly basis (by credit card) or on a discounted annual basis (by credit card or bank transfer). The fees are charged in Canadian Dollars and are as follows:

  • Monthly Service:		 $32.50 (for first 30 days, 50% discount) then $65  (recurring every 30 days) 
  • Annual Service:	 	$375 (this includes our loyalty discount) 
Payment by Credit Card:
Global Recycle accepts payment for both the Monthly and the Discounted Annual Subscription by VISA, Mastercard and American Express.

Payment by Bank Transfer:
For those Customers who wish to pay their Discounted Annual Subscription by bank transfer, we issue an invoice upon registration and provide three weeks within which payment is to be made. The account is activated upon receipt of payment.

Monthly Service - Recurring Charges:
Upon registering, you must agree (by ticking the appropriate box) to automatic recurring credit card charges every 30 days until such time as you decide to cancel your subscription. Once you register and Global Recycle activates your account, your credit card will be charged the respective subscription fees for the services you selected for the next 30 days. Once the 30 day subscription period is over, the Global Recycle system will automatically charge your subscription fees every 30 days until such time as you cancel your subscription. This is referred to as automatic recurring billing.

Cancellation:
You can cancel your subscription at any time by using the cancellation function provided in your Account Management area, or you can cancel by faxing a written request to Global Recycle at +1-250-483 1909. Once you have cancelled your subscription the automatic recurring charges (for Customers paying on a Monthly basis) will be halted immediately and your credit card will no longer be charged any subscription fees every 30 days.

Refunds
Global Recycle does not offer any refunds to Customers if they are not happy with our service. This is why we provide Customers with a cancellation feature which allows them to instantly halt their subscription.


Question 5:

Are there any free Trial Services?

Answer:

We know from watching our competitors that allowing free registrations and free Trial Offers will guarantee that a website attracts time wasters who detract from serious business and, unfortunately, online fraudsters. Genuine companies ultimately lose because of this practice. Throughout the past few years we have focused on creating a community of genuine recycling companies who are concluding business daily in a safe and secure environemnt.

We are focused on protecting our genuine customers, our Members, and therefore, we do not offer open, free trials/registrations. By sticking with this policy, we remain committed to assisting companies in generating new business. We continually attract genuine companies who know that they can conclude business with the rest of our Members in a safe and secure online environment.


Question 6:

How do I become a Customer?

Answer:

To register as a Customer you simply have to click the registration link provided on the Global Recycle home page and complete the application form. Once your application has been submitted, Global Recycle will notify you within 24 hours if your application has been accepted and provide you with a User ID and Password. Any applications with incomplete or invalid information will be rejected. Applications that do not hear from us within 24 hours have been rejected.

Question 7:

What security system is in place and how does Global Recycle protect my private information?

Answer:

The Global Recycle site uses an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate which supports 128 bit encryption. SSL is used to encrypt your personal information and credit card details as the information is passed over the Internet. This prevents the information being read by a third party. All credit card payments are transferred to the Payment Clearing Authority over SSL. The Global Recycle site is hosted in a secure datacentre with 24 hour monitoring located behind a firewall protected system.

Question 8:

What is the difference between Global Recycle and other recycling marketplaces?

Answer:

There are three key differences between Global Recycle and other recycling exchanges:

  • Global Recycle focuses on introducing interested Customers as soon as possible and does not interfere in subsequent negotiations and transactions;


  • We, unlike our competitors, do not allow anyone to register and post buy or sell material on the site.


  • Global Recycle actively monitors Customers feedback and suggestions to continually add and modify the features on our exchange. We work closely with our customers in order to assist them in meeting new business customers.
